A total of 25 participants aged 55–70 years underwent random blood glucose (RBG) testing and health education interventions. The results showed that 60% had normal glucose levels, while 36% were categorized as prediabetes and 4% as DM. The educational intervention significantly enhanced knowledge, with the proportion of participants in the “good” category increasing from 20% to 44% and the “poor” category decreasing from 52% to 20%. Nevertheless, 56% of participants remained at moderate to poor knowledge levels, indicating the need for more interactive educational methods, family involvement, and continuous mentoring. This program demonstrates that early screening is effective in identifying health risks among the elderly, while lifestyle modification, regular monitoring, and community support are crucial to prevent complications. The model can be adapted for elderly health services such as posyandu lansia to strengthen promotive and preventive strategies against chronic diseases.
2026-04-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Widya Addiarto, Rizka Yunitahttps://jurnal.stikesbanyuwangi.ac.id/index.php/JHIC/article/view/765EDUKASI KESEHATAN PADA KADER DALAM PEMANTAUAN TUMBUH KEMBANG BALITA DI POSYANDU TUNAS BANGSA KOTA PALEMBANG2026-01-28T02:34:46+00:00Septi Kencana Watiseptikencanaw18@gmail.comSiti Maimunahmaimunahsiti2304@gmail.comDian monalisadianmonalisaa@gmail.com
This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge of posyandu cadres in monitoring toddler growth and development through leaflet-based health education. A total of 12 cadres participated in the activity using a one group pre-test post-test design, with questionnaires adapted from the Ministry of Health guidelines and previous studies. The pre-test results showed that 41.6% of cadres had poor knowledge, while after the intervention there was a significant improvement, with 83.3% categorized as having good knowledge. The average score increased from 60 to 85, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test indicated a statistically significant difference (p = 0.005). The use of leaflets combined with direct counseling proved effective in enhancing cadres’ understanding, although variations remained due to differences in educational background, experience, and limited time allocation. This program highlights the importance of empowering cadres as the frontline in early detection of growth and development disorders, while continuous mentoring and supervision by health professionals are essential to ensure optimal and sustainable monitoring practices.
2026-04-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Septi Kencana Wati, Siti Maimunah, Dian monalisahttps://jurnal.stikesbanyuwangi.ac.id/index.php/JHIC/article/view/801EDUKASI KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI REMAJA PADA SISWA KELAS XII SMP NEGERI 2 GLENMORE2026-04-18T16:29:18+00:00Ineke Permatasariinekepermatasari1005@gmail.comTria Eni Rafika Deviineke@undiksha.ac.idRegina Ayu Fristiyantiineke@undiksha.ac.idSuci Fitriana Pramudya Wardaniineke@undiksha.ac.id
Early adolescence represents a critical developmental stage characterized by rapid physical, hormonal, and psychological changes. These transitions often trigger anxiety, confusion, and misconceptions among students, particularly when accurate and age-appropriate reproductive health information is limited. At SMP Negeri 2 Glenmore, preliminary observations revealed that many ninth-grade students lacked basic knowledge about puberty, such as nocturnal emissions among boys or the normal menstrual cycle among girls. This community service program aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the edutainment approach in improving adolescents’ reproductive health knowledge. The intervention combined short lectures delivered in everyday language, small group discussions, interactive quizzes, and an anonymous question box to create a safe and engaging learning environment. A total of 42 students participated, and their knowledge was assessed using a 20-item questionnaire with established validity (0.71–0.89) and reliability (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.85). Results demonstrated a substantial improvement: the proportion of students with good knowledge increased from 14.3% to 88.1%, with mean scores rising from 10.1 to 16.7. The highest gain was observed in the personal hygiene domain (+75%), followed by psychological aspects and risk-prevention behaviors. Anonymous questions revealed students’ genuine concerns, ranging from physiological changes to moral perceptions, underscoring the importance of open and non-judgmental communication. The findings suggest that edutainment is not only effective but also practical, low-cost, and replicable as a routine program within school counseling and health units. In conclusion, reproductive health education delivered through edutainment fosters knowledge, confidence, and healthy attitudes among adolescents, making it a valuable strategy for sustainable school-based health promotion
2026-04-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Ineke Permatasari, Tria Eni Rafika Devi, Regina Ayu Fristiyanti, Suci Fitriana Pramudya Wardanihttps://jurnal.stikesbanyuwangi.ac.id/index.php/JHIC/article/view/804EEKTIFITAS EDUKASI GIZI TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN GIZI SEIMBANG PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR2026-05-04T01:58:47+00:00Tria Enienitria944@gmail.comRafika Devienitria944@gmail.comYulia Retno Safitrienitria944@gmail.com

Abstract: Malnutrition is associated with decreased cognitive function, impaired learning concentration, and inhibited physical growth, while overnutrition increases the risk of degenerative diseases such as obesity, diabetes mellitus, and cardiovascular disease in the future. Nutritional problems among elementary school children include a lack of knowledge about balanced nutrition and insufficient energy and protein intake below the minimum requirements. The purpose of this community service program (PKM) was to increase school involvement in providing nutritional interventions in the form of nutrition education for students in order to improve their level of knowledge. The method used was a cross-sectional survey. The stages of this PKM activity began with a survey conducted at SDN 02, followed by preparation and implementation of nutrition education using LCD media, PowerPoint materials, leaflets, and games. After the education session, an evaluation was conducted using a questionnaire. The results showed that among the sample of 50 students, the average (mean) pretest score was 56.2 with a standard deviation of 10.5, while the average posttest score increased to 82.4 with a standard deviation of 8.7. Statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, balanced nutrition education was proven effective in improving students’ knowledge.

2026-04-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Tria Eni, Rafika Devi, Yulia Retno Safitrihttps://jurnal.stikesbanyuwangi.ac.id/index.php/JHIC/article/view/809GERAKAN MASYARAKAT PEDULI JANTUNG MELALUI EDUKASI GAYA HIDUP SEHAT UNTUK PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT KARDIOVASKULAR DI KELURAHAN MOJOSONGO2026-05-04T02:00:55+00:00Bayu Akbar Khayudinbayukhayudin2021@gmail.comSumardinobayukhayudin2021@gmail.comSugiyartobayukhayudin2021@gmail.com

Abstract:

Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in Indonesia, largely driven by unhealthy lifestyles such as an unbalanced diet, lack of physical activity, and smoking.
