Peningkatan ketrampilan dan Pengetahuan Kesiapsiagaan Mitigasi Bencana Gempa Bumi melalui Smart Disaster Alert (SDA) pada Komunitas Gerkatin Banyuwangi (Gerakan untuk Kesejahteraan Tunarungu Indonesia)

Kelompok tunarungu merupakan salah satu komunitas disabilitas yang memiliki kerentanan lebih tinggi dalam situasi bencana akibat keterbatasan akses terhadap informasi peringatan dini berbasis suara dan komunikasi darurat. Hambatan tersebut dapat meningkatkan risiko keterlambatan dalam melakukan respons ketika terjadi gempa bumi. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kesiapsiagaan bencana melalui penerapan Smart Disaster Alert (SDA) sebagai pendekatan inovatif dalam mendukung mitigasi gempa bumi pada komunitas Gerkatin (Gerakan untuk Kesejahteraan Tunarungu Indonesia) Banyuwangi. Metode kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan community-based disaster preparedness melalui tahapan persiapan, edukasi kebencanaan, pelatihan keterampilan, simulasi kesiapsiagaan, dan evaluasi menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 6,85 sebelum edukasi menjadi 8,45 setelah intervensi. Selain itu, peserta mampu mempraktikkan tindakan perlindungan diri, prosedur evakuasi, serta pemanfaatan SDA melalui pendekatan komunikasi visual yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan komunitas disabilitas tunarungu. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi asistif dan pemberdayaan komunitas dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas kesiapsiagaan bencana yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.
