Vol. 4 No. 2 (2025)This tenth publication of the WOMB Midwifery Journal presents Volume 4 Number 2, December 2025, featuring six original articles authored by 17 contributors from seven midwifery and health education institutions across Indonesia. This edition reflects the growing diversity and depth of midwifery research in Indonesia, addressing key issues across the continuum of women’s health, from adolescence and pregnancy to childbirth, lactation, and menopause.
The articles in this volume explore a wide range of themes, including factors associated with anemia in pregnant women, the effect of soy milk consumption on hot flush symptoms in perimenopausal women, the application of relaxing prenatal yoga to reduce anxiety in third-trimester pregnant women using a qualitative approach, factors related to early colostrum feeding on the first day of birth, the impact of education and demonstration of breastfeeding techniques on lactation quality in mothers and infants, and the effectiveness of lemon aromatherapy in reducing dysmenorrhea pain intensity among adolescents. Together, these studies emphasize preventive care, non-pharmacological interventions, health education, and holistic approaches within midwifery practice.
Each article provides evidence-based findings that are relevant to clinical practice, community health services, and midwifery education. This issue highlights innovative and context-sensitive interventions that support maternal and women’s health across different life stages, reinforcing the role of midwives in delivering comprehensive, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care. Vol. 4 No. 1 (2025)This is the ninth publication of the WOMB Midwifery Journal, which consists of six articles and 17 authors from several midwifery education institutions in Indonesia. The themes of the articles in Vol. 4 No. 1, June 2025 include contraceptive use and weight gain, hemoglobin levels and second stage of labor, community characteristics, knowledge, and perception about congenital hypothyroidism screening, the effectiveness of e-booklet media in improving father’s knowledge and attitudes toward pregnancy care, the impact of consuming Ambon bananas on emesis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women, and the use of lavender aromatherapy in reducing perineal pain in postpartum mothers. Each article offers evidence-based insights that are relevant to clinical practice and midwifery education, reflecting a strong commitment to improving maternal and newborn health outcomes through innovation, research, and community-based approaches. This edition highlights the diversity of midwifery research topics in Indonesia, ranging from reproductive health and pregnancy care to labor management and postpartum comfort strategies.

The themes of the article in vol 3 no 2 December 2024 is the knowledge and attitudes about early mobilization, warm water compresses on injection sites on pain after immunization, chronic energy deficiency in pregnancy, sexual education, booklet about stunting, and accupresure in labour.
