This study aims to determine the implementation of comic book media on reading interest and to assess the reading interest of second-grade students at UPT SD Negeri Sumberingin 04. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research design. The data collection techniques utilized in this research include observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants involved in this study consist of the classroom teacher and students at UPT SD Negeri Sumberingin 04. The data analysis technique is conducted through several stages: (1) defining the scope of the research study; (2) developing research questions; (3) planning the data collection phase while considering prior observations; (4) rechecking the gathered data; (5) systematically organizing the observation and interview field notes; and (6) describing and elaborating on all data obtained from observations and interviews. The results of this study reveal that the implementation of comic book media on reading interest is highly effective in motivating second-grade students at UPT SD Negeri Sumberingin 04. Cultivating students' interest in reading requires engaging media that stimulates their desire to read. The findings indicate that comics can enhance students' reading interest and comprehension of the material. Comics provide clear visual illustrations, assist students in understanding abstract concepts, and create an enjoyable learning environment. Furthermore, learning with comics encourages active student participation in classroom discussions, thereby enhancing speaking skills and critical thinking
